ALLINGTON EFW (Energy from Waste)

KGN Pillinger assisted consulting engineers with the site drainage and pumping station layout and philosophy. In addition KGN was also asked to produce detailed design drawings of the pumping station structure, the supply and installation of 10 small surface water and Leachate pumping stations around the site which pass water forward to a main water handing station which in turn pumps into an on site lagoon at a maximum flow rate of 900l/s At this main pumping station KGN installed three transfer pumps, two off site pumps and an aeration pump for the lagoon complete with all necessary ductile iron pipe work and valves ranging in size from DN100 to DN600. This water is pumped off site only when the pH level is neutral and we supplied and installed a number of pH monitoring systems around the site. KGN not only supplied the surface water pump system but supplied and installed the sewage pumping system.
